The Pocophone F1 was a very popular device, but the successor has not been released yet. However, rumors about the new device are already going round. Now the unveiling seems to be a step closer thanks to a registered Xiaomi Pocophone F2 trademark.
Xiaomi Pocophone F2 trademark
Xiaomi has filed a trademark for the name ‘POCO F2‘. We conclude from this that the company is really working on a successor to the popular Pocophone F1 . Just before the release of that device in August 2018, a trademark with the name ‘POCO F1’ also appeared. Whether that means that the new smartphone will be announced soon is still unknown.
Rumors about the arrival of the device are already circulating, but this is the first concrete proof that it is actually being worked on. Rumors about the arrival of the F2 appeared in September 2019. At the end of December a message was posted via Twitter by a Pocophone executive. It could be read that we would hear more from Pocophone in 2020. That tweet was then quickly removed again.
Poco is a sub brand of Xiaomi
Poco is a sub-brand of the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, just as Redmi is. Other sub-brands are Mi and CC, which each focus on their own target group. The brands do have one thing in common: the good price-quality ratio.
The first Pocophone F1 was available here from 329 euros for the model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The processor is the Snapdragon 845, the screen is a 6.2 inch model and there is a dual camera on the back. Nothing is known yet about specifications or release of the Pocophone F2.
